What types of merchandise donations do you need?
Merchandise Donation Needs
- Gently used clothing (blouses, dresses, dress shirts, jeans, shoes)
- Accessories (jewelry, purses, scarves, hats)
- Household items (small appliances, art/frames, mirrors, fabric/linens)
- Seasonal Décor
- Sports equipment
- Small furniture (chairs, end tables, coffee tables)
Please note, we are unable to accept the following items:
- Children's car seats, highchairs, baby beds, swings, cribs, or items with safety recalls)
- Large appliances (e.g. refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, or air conditioners)
- Chemical products or hazardous chemicals (e.g. paints, thinners, gas or oil-based products, and cleaning supplies)
- Broken or heavily damaged furniture
- Carpet/carpet padding

The UrbanPromise Thrift Store is operated by UrbanPromise Ministries Community Development, Inc. and generates funding for UrbanPromise Ministries’ programs and emergency family care needs.
Our Mission
A sustainable non-profit social enterprise that:
- Generates funding and awareness for UrbanPromise Ministries’ programs enabling Camden youth to develop and realize their potential
- Provides entry level work experience, job training, and service hours for Camden's youth
- Further engages the UrbanPromise volunteer community

In-Store Staff
Stock and tag merchandise, run registers, donation pick-up and transfer, etc.
Social Media Specialist
Assistance in creation of online advertising and updating website & Facebook page
Online Sales
Assistance with online selling (eBay, Craigslist, etc.) and support development of website marketplace
Vehicle Maintenance
Assistance in maintenance/repair of our store cargo van & minivan
HR Specialist
Assistance with volunteer management and record-keeping
Tech Help
Troubleshooting with store computers, TV, printer, internet, etc.
Youth Mentors
Assistance with coaching of youth staff in leadership development & seeking possible internship opportunities
